Germantown, Philadelphia Real Estate
One of Philadelphia’s oldest settlements, Germantown was originally settled by German émigrés attracted to Philadelphia by William Penn’s promises of religious tolerance. Here you’ll find many of the city’s more historic homes. Many of the communities have been painstakingly restored to their original architectural beauty. This section serves as the gateway to the northwestern part of Philadelphia, east of Fairmount park. Residents here enjoy tree-lined streets, peace and quiet yet at the same time are close enough to Center City and Temple University
