The IceHouse is located in Fishtown at the corner of Thompson Street & Columbia Avenue, right across from Hetzell’s Ball Field, which is a park that spans an entire city block. Fishtown is one of Philly’s hippest up and coming hoods, just northeast of Northern Liberties. The area continues to grow in popularity, due in part, to its friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The area also boasts some historical points of interest, including Penn Treaty Park, where William Penn is said to have formed his treaty with the local Native Americans. The IceHouse is also 3 blocks from the Waterfront and a stone’s throw from Northern Liberties. There is plenty of public transportation in the area as well.
